Welcome to the 6th Graduate Conference!
Himalayan Knowledge Conclave 2020, the 6th Graduate Conference on Environment and Sustainable Development, with the theme Sustainability Through Technology and Innovations, is being held on 5th and 6th August in collaboration with Government of Nepal Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, TU-IOST-CDES, Resource Himalaya, ISET- Nepal, Kathmandu University, Mid-Western University and Agriculture and Forestry University.The conference commences on August 5 with the registration process starting at 8 AM, officially proceeding with the opening session from 9 AM with respective guests from different universities and institutions.
Moving on to the programs, the Technical Sessions will commence with three parallel sessions on different themes chaired by international scholars and co-chaired by national scholars. Young researchers who have recently completed their PhD will be lead presenters. The sessions will consist of a total of 50 poster presentations and 55 oral presentations by Bachelors and Masters scholars and participants from all seven provinces of Nepal.
Technical Session I proceeds from 12-2 PM on the themes i) Biodiversity Conservation, ii) Pollution and Control Measures and iii) Climate Change. Technical Session II will proceed from 3-5 PM on the themes i) Agriculture and Livestock, ii) Water and Wetlands, and iii) Sociology and Humanities.
The second day of the conference on August 6 commences with the Technical Session III from 8:30-10:30 AM under the themes i) Biodiversity Conservation/Forestry, ii) Pollution and control measure/STEM, and iii) Climate Change/Sociology and Humanities/Medical and Health Science. Technical Session IV consists of the themes i) Agriculture and Livestock, ii) Energy/Indigenous Knowledge and Technologies, and iii) Environment.
Following the completion of a total of 12 Technical Sessions, a Panel Discussion on the theme COVID-19: Lesson for Future will proceed form 2:45-4:15 PM and the program will end with a concluding session from 4:30-5:30 PM.
